Yesterday I took puppers, Dorcas and Brunhilda, to be spayed, chipped, and vaccinated at the SPCA Low-Cost Clinic. I am on the list for them sometime in July, but I decided to try to get in space-available now like I did in December with Mama Delight and Brother Fenris, and I got both in. It was a struggle to get each of them in the doggie carrier box.
I was going to get an exam, cleaning, and if necessary, cavities filled. I got there and there was already a long line. After standing in line for about an hour, someone came out and announced that they already had the limit of people signed up than they could treat.

Tomorrow, April 26, 2017, will be my late fathers 90th Birthday. I used to talk, not fully joking, about what we would do on his 100th birthday. Dad had many close calls with death ranging from a three-month coma during which none of his doctors thought he would recover, lung cancer surgery, multiple cases of pneumonia, serious falls with injuries, and more. Dad died at 88 years and 1 week on May 4, 2015; a day I mark as the second worst of my life, the worst being the day I had a colostomy on May 4, 1994. I still miss him terribly.
Today I was a roving sub at yet another school I’ve been to several times before. I was in several classes that I’ve been in before, and again the “MISTER GREENs” were frequent as I enter as well as when I walk through the playgrounds.
